HOW TO FLASH QUALCOMM ANDROIDS WITH QFIL

To flash your Qualcomm Android device, your will need to have drivers installed in your pc. You can get it from here.
Also, you will be needing a usb cord to connect your phone to pc.

Flashing procedure

• Download QFIL
• Extract and run QFIL.exe

• Once you run the QFIL.exe, you will see a dashboard like the one below.

• Now click on the 'Browse..' button to locate your firmware file in your computer. The file type flashable by this tool is a .mbn file.(You can equally select programmer type as either:ELF or Hex.

•  Select your firmware file to flash as shown below.

• After loading .mbn file, you will need to load XML. 

This has two options: 

rawprogram_unsparse_without_qcn.xml : Choosing this file, data will not be lost.
rawprogram_unsparse.xml : Will lose RF Calibration data, IMEI and WiFi/Bluetooth Address.

So, it'ts adviceable you select select rawprogram_unsparse_without_qcn.xml and then Select Patch0.xml.

• Next select the com port by clicking on the 'Select port' button.

• After that, click on the start button, switch of your device and connect to pc(you will need to press bootkey; vol+ and vol-) before connecting phone.
• Wait for the flashing to complete.
• And congrats!!!

How to flash SPD android with UpgradeDownload/ResearchDownload

The flashing of spreadtrum Android phones is a simple process provided you have the required stock rom for your device. You can download some from here.
Also, you will need spreadtrum drivers installed in your computer for the flash tool to be able to communicate with your device. Below is a simple guide on how to flash your android with ResearchDownload tool.

Requirements :

•  SPD USB DRIVERS 
• A LAPTOP OR PC
• A USB CABLE

Procedure:

• Download and install spreadtrum usb drivers in your computer.
• Download the specific rom for your spd device and extract Check here for available roms here. The spd firmware file to be loaded with the flash tool is a .PAC FILE
• Now download and install Research download from the link given below. Extract it and click on ResearchDownload.exe as on the screenshot below

• Run ResearchDownload.exe and once in the dashboard, to load the firmware file, click on the 'gear' icon at the topleft corner as shown below to locate the stock rom.

• After loading firmware file press on the play button to start flashing, turn off your device and remove the battery. Reinsert battery and press bootkey(vol- or vol+) then connect phone to pc via usb.
• The flashing process should start if you have drivers well installed and your usb ports functions correctly.

• When the proccess is completed, you will get a 'PASSED' message as showned below.

HOW TO FLASH SAMSUNG ANDROIDS USING ODIN

STEP WISE GUIDE FOR FLASHING YOUR SAMSUNG DEVICE WITH ODIN

 

Samsung device stock roms constitute a .md5  file that is flahable by odin. In order for you to flash your samsung android device, you will need to follow these steps:

Requirements:

• Samsung usb drivers
• A USB cable
• Odin(samsung flash tool)
• Stock rom for your samsung android.

Procedure:

1.  First install the Samsung usb drivers into your pc. Download it from the link below.
2. Power off your device and then boot it into ODIN MODE(download mode)  by  pressing the combination of the power key + volume down + Home key.       
   
3. Confirm by pressing volume up
   

4. Now open odin and load the flash file as shown below. First check the box of "AP", then click on "AP" to load firmware.

Chose ".md5" flashable file as indicated above(1) and open(2)
5. after loading firmware, connect your device via USB cable. Once detected, ou should have a screen similar to this below showing the "COM PORT";

6. Click then on start and wait. Once completion, you will get a green color background message indicating "PASS!" as shown below;

 Congrats!!!
You have succesfully flashed your Samsung android phone.

SP FLASH TOOL PREREQUISITES

• Pc or Laptop
• USB data cable
• MediaTek USB VCOM drivers
• Stock rom for your device to be flashed.

FLASHING PROCEDURE:

•  Start by installing Android USB Driver on your computer. You will not need to do this again if the drivers are already installed on your Computer. 

• Next switch Off your Android  and remove the Battery.

• Extract your downloaded rom to your PC.

• Extract SP Flash Tool on your Computer.

• Open Flash tool.exe.  and execute.

• Once SP Flash Tool is launched, Click on the Download tab(1).

• Once the Flashing is completed, a Green Ring will appear. Now you have successfully flashed you phone.
